I WAS WORKING OVERSEAS AS AN INTERNATIONAL EDUCATOR.
And I want to be honest with you about what that season really was for me.
The school I was at was toxic. The kind of place that drains you before lunch.
I arrived after the school year had begun, because of COVID entry issues.
My mom had just passed, and I was grieving her from the other side of the world.
After three months, that school and I parted ways.
And that is when it hit me
I WAS THOUSANDS OF MILES FROM HOME, AND SOMEBODY ELSE HAD FULL CONTROL OF MY INCOME.
My time. My paycheck. My livelihood. My peace. All of it lived in somebody else’s hands.
I AM TAKING MY POWER BACK.
I remember the exact day. I will never be in this situation again.
So I started learning
AND BABY, I STUDIED.
I am an engineer and a math professor. Studying is what I do. I read everything. I watched everything. And I invested in myself, too.
